About Me
Hey! I’m Josh, and I run Stagman Films — where I get to do what I love most: tell stories through film.
I’ve been messing around with cameras since I was a kid — filming random “movies” with my friends, editing school projects in Windows Movie Maker, and once even creating a memorial film for my pet fish (which my family still won’t let me live down).
I started out working mainly as a video editor, cutting together brand mood films, trailers, and narrative pieces — one of which went on to win a few awards at places like The Webby Awards and Clio Music. That experience taught me how much emotion and rhythm can shape a story, even in the smallest details.
In 2024, I decided it was time to get behind the camera too. I’ve always been fascinated by the full process of filmmaking, and I love that mix of creativity and collaboration that happens when a small team really clicks.
When I’m not working on projects, I love to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, or filming in the middle of nowhere. I once hiked across the UK from coast to coast, which was as exhausting as it was rewarding. The outdoors has a way of reminding me why I make things in the first place.
My goal is to make people feel excited and relaxed when we work together — to create something that feels genuine, thoughtful, and maybe even a little unexpected.
